Effects

Bullying affectes the victims, as well as the bullies. First of all, people that are bullied are often humiliated,  and it can make their lives extremely unpleasant. Bullies often are having issues and problem that are pushing them to act the way they do.Their misery, can conduct them to a delinquent life. People that are bullied are targeted with messages, pictures or videos of them that can seriously affect them psycologically. When mean things are repetitively said to the victim, they may start to believe that what is being said is true and that they are the problem. I believe we have all ,at least once, felt that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of our stomach when we do not feel accepted. It's human nature to want to be loved and it is impressive how much we are effected when deprived.
Sincerely, Chester

  1. I totally agree with this statement but some bullies do get manipulated in doing this sort of thing, when another person doesn't really like the person also. Then that person may manipulate the other person to cyber bully the person who they both hate. Bullies also may want to fit in their crowd and that's why they cyber bully mainly under pressure or just for the fun of it. Victims also often are very emotionally hurt and this may lead to suicide if it is major.

  2. Jennifer N. Caudle, D.O. states in her article, Cyber-Bullying and its Effect on our Youth, that there are varied effects that our youths will experience. Some of those effects can be; anxiety, depression, loneliness, unhappiness, and poor sleeping habits(Caudle,J.N. D.O.,2014, p.1). Often they will conceal the fact that they are being bullied due to embarrassment. In order to combat cyber-bullying, parents must play an active part in our child's lives and provide them with a safe environment at home for open and frank discussions. Cyber-Bullying has invaded the privacy of our children's lives like never before and every incident of cyber-bullying should be reported right away as they occur.

  3. Hello. I'm currently writing an essay about cyberbullying, and I wanted to make some comments about this subject. Cyberbullying is a topic that should be taken seriously, and comes with many facts and stories, but has a lot of knowledge on how to stop it and help a victim. It has been shown that 1 in 3 people are cyberbullied, and a little more than 25 percent of teens have been bullied many times through their cell phones or the internet. A 17 year old sports star committed suicide after vicious online bullying, and the online bullying continued even after her death, which shows how ruthless people are. Another girl committed suicide after a neighborhood mom pretended to be a cute boy, and then bullied her, which shows that even adults can be vicious. If you wanna help, make sure the victim tells someone, and that they seek help to stop this. They must realize that it is not their fault this happened to them, and they can not blame themselves. Also, pay attention to the signs. If the victim's behavior has changed, and they seem different, ask them what is going on, and make sure they get better. Cyberbullying can last five seconds, but the affect is a life time. Be careful what you say online, and if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.
